The aim of this new role is for a motivated person to work in partnership with Macmillan Information Centres at NGH & KGH; to help the Practice provide local signposting and access to Information and Support for those living with Cancer, their carers and loved ones.
If your Doctors Surgery has a Primary Care Cancer Champion and you would like to speak to them, give the Surgery a call and ask how you can get in touch with the Primary Cancer Champion.
If your Doctors Surgery doesn't yet have a Primary Care Cancer Champion then you could still ask as they may have someone who is training to be a Primary Care Cancer Champion or it may inspire them to get someone trained up.
We have expanded the opportunity out to Pharmacies from April 2025 and have one signed up so far.
